Tailored South America was not born in a boardroom. It was born on the road — in the cloud forests of Ecuador, on the shores of the Galápagos, and across the countries of a continent that has never stopped surprising us.
Jimmy Patiño has spent more than twenty years building, operating, and living the tourism industry in South America from the inside. Through ECOTRAVELTEXP — the tour operator he founded in Ecuador — he developed something rare: a deep, firsthand knowledge of what makes travel in this part of the world genuinely extraordinary, and an equally clear understanding of where the industry consistently fails the traveler.
He watched luxury tourism promise transformation and deliver comfort. He watched travelers arrive curious and leave as spectators. He saw a market full of beautiful destinations and a shortage of operators willing to go beyond the surface.
TSA was born from three converging convictions: frustration with the gap between what travel promises and what it delivers; the belief that the experiences he had spent years exploring and validating in Ecuador could — and should — be extended to the rest of the continent; and a personal journey of his own that proved, beyond doubt, that travel done right changes the way you see the world.
Today, Tailored South America operates as a regional DMC network anchored in Ecuador and reaching across Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina. Every destination in our network has been explored by our team in person. Every experience in our portfolio has been lived before it was offered. Every partner we work with shares our commitment to authenticity, purpose, and care.
